It all started with a home brew kit and a dream. Almost a decade ago after relocating from Long Island, NY to Wilmington, NC, Guy started experimenting with beer making. It didn't take long for his small home-brew kit to grow into a 5 gallon home brew system. After deciding it was time to transition away from healthcare they purchased a 3 barrel system to take his beer making to the next level. Finding a location for their brewery was a struggle, they looked at building after building and were not able to find the ideal spot. Once the COVID-19 pandemic started their dreams had to be put on pause. After years of trying to make their dreams a reality they finally found the location for By the Beach Brewing in January 2023. After 9 long months of renovations, acquiring permits and hard work By the Beach Brewing was finally able to open September 29, 2023 turning their dreams into reality.
